Cherry sits just southeast of Uptown Charlotte, one of the city's earliest historically Black neighborhoods. The area today features a mix of modest original homes and contemporary infill housing. Residents here maintain a strong community identity, often seen gathering at Cherry Park. Its central location provides direct access to Uptown and nearby retail at The Metropolitan shopping center. Cherry continues to evolve while honoring its deep historical roots.
